I am an entrepreneur. I started my own digital marketing agency, scaling up from a sole trader right up to a business now employing more than 60 people. And I’m proud to say as a team we regularly win industry recognition, most recently as the winner of the Google EMEA Premier Partner Award 2019 for Growing Businsses Online, and The Drum Grand Prix Agency of the Year 2018.
I’ve been a Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. I’ve led digital consultancy teams at BT. And programme managed changes at Capital One. And when the time was right, I took the leap to start my own company. It’s been a right old roller coaster of experience since my move to the UK in 1985 from my home town of Springfield, USA. Yes, Springfield, like Homer Simpson.
And now I’m sharing my experience through public speaking, training, and mentoring.
True success in the digital marketing space can be found at the sweet spot where Talent and Technology meet.
Over the years I’ve learned how to recruit and develop and retain the brightest people.
And I’ve learned many lessons about introducing and maintaining innovation in a small business, How to gain competitive advantage by being nimble, but not taking risks at the bleeding edge of technology.
And most importantly, how to come up with a plan that will make a business thrive online, and then execute that plan flawlessly.
I have had the pleasure and honour to be awarded an MBE for Enterprise and Innovation on the Queen’s New Years Honours List 2018. That’s me at and Prince Charles, and in the background is my 84 year old mother in from Springfield who to joined me and my husband at Buckingham Palace.
